One of the greatest joys is starting at a high enough level to afford tons of magical equipment at character gen, as opposed to "Rusty Iron Longsword" and "Wooden Shield."

Then of course, if you're a spellcaster (or someone with the Master Craftsman feat,) you probably have a couple of magic item creation feats. Which cuts the cost of buying the according items in half since you made them.

And then it gets ridiculous.
