Okay, we know that for skill checks, the rule of Natural 20 (auto-success if the twenty-sided die shows a "20") DOES NOT APPLY TO SKILL CHECKS (unless your GM is inexperienced or high,) but for the purposes of this comic, we assume the rule applies to everything. Conversely, the rule of Natural 1 implies auto-failure.

When playing a d20 system game, always consult your manual to find the individual game's rule for Natural 20s and Natural 1s. It may apply to some types of rolls (attack, ability, saving throws, luck) but not to others (skill checks.)
